So I've looked around at the torque specs on the Torque to Yield bolts securing the rear drive shaft and find some confusing data!According the book that I have it says to , Rotate the drum and tighten the adjusting nut to 120-140 ft.-lb. Back the adjusting nut off 1/8-3/8 turn to provide 0.001-0.010 in. end play. I have never torqued them although I'm sure there is a torque spec somewhere.

May 26, 2011 · Just found a great source for the axle nut socket. Mile Marker makes the socket, # 15009-01 and it is for all F250, F350 and Excursions with the 10.5 rearend. I found it at AutoZone.com priced at $20.99 with $6 shipping.
