I have loaded super light duty Unique loads with cast bullets to hot and heavey Nosler PHG loads for hunting. I also have Remington 30-06 nickel plated brass that has been FL sized, trimmed, and loaded/sized 4 times now without issue.Cartridge : .300 Win. The area we will be hunting is steep open areas.Being a bit long, the bullets will need to be set deeper into the case than the Nosler bullets I typically use in order to meet the OAL length. I normally use 71 gr of IMR 4350 but that mix fills the 300 Win mag case up to the neck. There would be too much compresion if I push the Barnes bullet deep into the case/powder.I haven't witnessed an elk get up after being hit with any 180g or 200g bullet from a 300 WM or 300 RUM in the shoulders out to 600 yards.
