Jun 23, 2011 · The 6l90 uses a larger output shaft that's 1.5'' 36 spline for 2wd applications and the 4x4 unit uses a 29 spline output. The 6l80 uses the standard 32 spline output like the 4l80. I never seen any spline adapters for the 6l90 off the shelve it would have to be custom.
