I'm getting excited that it might be soon! But my sis in law was dilated 3 and 100% effaced for 3 weeks, so everyone is different. H. HP_lovinmama. Annecdotally, I walked around 3cm and 70% effaced for over a week before going into labor on my own at 40w5d. A friend was 5cm for weeks! Lots of healthy babies are born at 36/37 weeks. Just be ready to ask questions and advocate for you and baby should you need to.

Wow this is new to me but he's the professional. I've always been given cervidil at least 6-8 hours before pitocin is started.
