I ended up getting a dash cover from Ebay and it's working just fine. You attach it on top of the dash with velcro strips.A small hole at the end of the crack should help, but don't drill it. A drill bit will prolly grab and make new cracks in an old brittle dash. A gently ground hole with a grinding stone in a Dremel should do the trick. I dont know what the way to do it is but I would try plain old drywall spackling. Mix it with some long drying epoxy and put it on with a spatula. You will want to get the glue at least up to room temp to make it easy to work with. To all those people with dash and or vinyl cracking. Check your yellow pages. These things are repairable! If you cn't find it in the yellow pages, try a local used car dealer as to who they use. You can bet they get trades with cracked dashes and they don' t replace them.

I just used my dremmel w/ a cut off wheel to straighten the crack. It actually looks decent, like 2 separate panels rather than a crack. 2010 GMC Sierra CC 4wd 5.3. 5" RCX. Rancho XL9000.
