This will give you an idea on how the DAT asks questions and will guide your studying. Take as many full length exams as possible. The DAT is also a test of stamina with it being about 4.5 hours long.DAT Study Breakdown. I recently took the DAT and am here to share my experience with DAT Bootcamp enroute to scoring a 24 AA. I'll give a more general breakdown of how I approached studying for the DAT using Bootcamp before jumping into my varying studying strategies for the 6 DAT sections. The first time I took the test was in February, but I wasn't prepared for it, yet somehow I still scored a 19AA. Sadly, I had a 15 on the RC section, so I decided to retake the exam. Make sure to prioritize sleep, eat well, take care of yourself, take breaks, and spend time doing things you enjoy. It's a lot easier said than done, but try to have some balance.
