I purchased the Evinrude wiring harness that plugs right into the harness plug off of my throttle box. Easy enough right? What concerns me is that the Faria instructions say for an 88 and 112 hp a voltage regulator is recommended. It also says a system check tach or 2" gauge is REQUIRED.This is the perfect horsepower for almost any boater. This is the V-4 model which is the same power head as most Johnson/Evinrude, 80 hp, 85 hp, 88 hp, 90 hp, 112 hp, 115, hp and 140 hp 4 cylinder engines made from the 70's through the 1990's. Parts are very easy to find and inexpensive since these are some of the most popular motors around.
