The HST is not as good of a barrier blind load as the Critical Duty at least thru some barriers, particularly safety glass. HST is not particularly good thru safety glass and does not meet FBI standards for that test. This is best for guns with shorter barrels (ie conceal carry) vs the 147 grain standard pressure load. Either brand. I think Gold Dot tends to penetrate further and HSTs tend to get slightly larger expansion. I carry 124 grain HST, but honestly gold dots will work just as well. 1.
