Although if I could swap my 29SF for the 30SF, I could get the 10mm LW barrel for only $130 to accomplish my objectives. The 30S is nice but does not have any conversion barrels for the high powered rounds. LW makes a 9mm barrel for the 20 but not for the 29 or 30.
Thinking about a Glock 30S or a Shield .45 2.0. I have mags and holsters for both. Have carried a 30 before, and a Shield 9 Plus, so pretty familiar. Both about the same size, clearly the Glock is a little thicker and the Shield under and inch in width. The Glock has the advantage of taking G21 mags for backup. G30sf- smaller diameter grip feels better in hand, slide is full thickness, still feels like a brick in your waistband. DucS2R. I have had and carried my GLock 30 for at least 5 years. I recently bought a HK 45c to replace the Glock for carry, it is slimmer and I hope it conceals better as soon as I get a holster (VM II on order). I shoot the HK slightly better than the Glock, but both are very accurate and very reliable.The 30s carries noticeably better IWB. The standard 30 will handle widely-available 45 ACP as-is, 45 Super with a barrel/RSA swap and 460 Rowland with the proper conversion. While not in the same class as the 460, the 10mm has plenty of thump. I haven't tried it, but I am told the 29 can also be adapted to fire 40 S&W. ….

Normally Rocky, i would agree with you 100%, but after several trips to the mothership, i think its time to let the 30S go. I am disappointed that it didnt work out for the 30S for me, but it dosent detour me from buying another glock firearm, as i have SEVERAL nice glocks in my gunsafe and not have had any issues with the rest of my glocks that i couldnt readily fix on my own.Bill, a few weeks ago I hit a gun show looking for a 30 Gen 3 and ended up with a used 30SF Gen 3.
