I have the opportunity to purchase a G38 (prior G37 owner)and am wondering if G19 and G23 slides (have good deal on these too) will fit and function on the G38 frame. Of course I would use caliber correct mags. Right now, in my neck of the woods, 9mm and 40S&W is easier to come by than 45 GAP.I would start by doing the 25 cent trigger job, polish everything up nice and shiny. The only frame parts that are specific to the G44 is the ejector and the locking block. All other frame parts will interchange with the Gen 5 G19.
