Block off the heater core during the summer with a check valve and your driver side will be 10* cooler while the passenger side will be as cool as your driver side originally was. This is an LX model with manual front and rear controls. Passenger side vents start blowing warm/hot air fairly quickly (2-4 min.), but I get no heat on the driver's side and in the back. Air gets a little warmer after driving for 20-30 minutes (up to 60-70F), but never gets to the passenger side temperatures (120-130F).No heat comes out of the passenger side vents but the driver's side is just fine. 1. If your car's heater fan is not working at all, it's likely that the blower motor has gone bad. The blower motor is responsible for pushing hot air into the cabin. To replace it, locate the blower motor under the dashboard on the passenger side. Remove the electrical connector and any retaining screws that hold the motor in place.If it is plugged in properly, then I would swap with the driver side (Item 2) and see if the problem goes to the other side. If it doesn't, it is likely the passenger side temperature door actuator (Item 4). In either case, there should be DTCs that FORScan should read. Check there to be sure line (s) are connected, and not split/rotted and leaking/loose. Don.It may be that the passenger side failing is creating an inadequate heat situation in the rear zone. There is one for the right side up under the dash, they are a common failure and when they default they stick in one position or another.
