I have a new echo 225 trimmer that runs great but if I turn sideways to edge with half tank of fuel or less it dies after edging 5-10'. With a full tank it does fine.To check for a spark. Locate the spark plug on your chainsaw and remove the cover. Remove the spark plug from the cylinder and attach the spark plug wire to it. Do not put the spark plug back into the cylinder. Touch the spark plugs electrode tip to a metal surface on the engine and pull the starter cord.

Don't know if its fuel/carb related or if its a throttle cable issue? It FEELS like it could be either one. Moved the air intake hose it seemed to stay whole longer while running - When it started to cut off today I tilted the trimmer to one side and the bog down stopped.
