Jones, Sr., born January 6, 1943, in Camilla, Georgia, was the eighth child of Deacon Buddie and Sister Leila Rhodes Jones. As the son of a farmer and teacher, B.J. learned at an early age to value God, family, education, work, and his community. As a child, B.J. gave his life to Christ and was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church.Obituary. On October 2,1978, God blessed Zelda Collier with a precious beautiful gift, Derrick Darell Collier. Derrick was the apple in his mother’s eye and she was his favorite lady. After suffering several months with complications from open heart surgery, the LORD called him to rest on Saturday morning, May 28, 2022.
