John deere not starting
3033R turns over but won't start. I had a JD 4310 for almost 18 years. The first 10 years was great and it was reliable and faithful. The last 8 years were more and more problems. So last year I decided it was time to upgrade. I purchased a new 3033R and have had problems from day 1. When I received the tractor last summer, I kept getting a ...I believe on the Kubota it normally allows free flow of fuel and the only time it energizes is briefly when the engine shuts down. That way the engine would always start but not necessarily turn off. Do a bit more troubleshooting before throwing money and parts at the problem. Keeping in mind that I'm not a mechanic, I would think that if fuel was flowing back into the tank that the pump was pulling it from that something was wrong with the pump - psi not strong enough (which might get corrected with your new pump) or a check valve (or whatever) is defective.
