Noisy lifters - HELP! My 2009 Voyager with 10,000 miles had been running fine until one morning when I started it to go for a ride. There was a LOUD clicking coming from the top end of the front cylinder. Using my stethoscope, I isolated the noise to the exhaust valve. It sounded a lot like a solid lifter that was WAY too loose!KEY ON and pressing starter. checked for spark with plug removed and inserted in the boot, grounded against the head. 3/4 plugs sparked. - STILL the same 3/4 plugs spark. -Removed seemingly affected coil pack to inspect for visible issues to the wires/boots/terminals etc. NOTHING Obvious. Pull the cold start knob out, and twist it to hold it in position. Give a very small amount of throttle, but dont twist back and fore when trying to start.
