In my opinion, if you're using Polaris oil and you'll be riding in ambient temps in excess of 100F, I would agree with the dealer. I'd run the PS-4 Extreme. According to the Polaris, the ambient temp range on the PS-4 (5W-50) is -40F to 100F. The ambient temp range on the PS-4 Extreme (0W-50) is -45F to 130F. Now to muddy up the water...I am considering using Mobile 1 synthetic 5W-50 with either the Mobile 1 M1-110 oil filter or the WIX #51356 oil filter. Some have recommended the K&N KN-198 oil filter.
