The curriculum leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering requires 128 hours. A brief summary of the program follows. Required Courses. The following courses, associated with 67 semester hours of academic credit, are required in the undergraduate curriculum in environmental engineering.MSE 497 Independent Study credit: 1 to 4 Hours. Individual study of any topic in materials science and engineering under the supervision of a member of the faculty. 1 to 4 undergraduate hours. 1 to 4 graduate hours.
